man I love Saber in Fate/Zero

I really like her design

it’s one example of a female character who’s kick ass and not jumping around in skimpy almost-no-clothing. Her dress is down to her ankles, and wider than her shoulders. She has armor all over her—the only skin exposed is her FACE (it’d be cool if she wore a helmet, but whatever). And the Saber class is supposed to be the best one, like, really balanced stats and all that. 

So I tried reading what’s up in Fate/Stay night, which I avoided since I thought it was pure harem blahblah. It is, pretty much. Like, she has to have sex with her master (who’s a teenaged boy) in order to restore her mana? I think it was that? And I read that and I was like whoa what the fu

I’m not a big fan on the whole, “oh she couldn’t live like a girl her whole life” bc (1) what does that even mean (what if I don’t wanna sit there absent minded and pretty, huh…HUH?!?!?!) and (2) it would be more affective in reaching out to your audience if you just say “live like a normal person”. Since she was the King of Britain, and that’s not an every other person job, ya know. And it’s a pretty obvious set up that her guy master in Fate/Stay night would help her to ~open up~ and help her ~feel like a woman~ 

so it’s partially why Fate/Zero is pretty cool, bc her relationship with her master is pretty shitty, but she connects a lot of her master’s wife who is like her second master (the one she has to protect anyway). And they develop this cute bond together, and Saber finally gets a girlfriend instead of being surrounded by so much testosterone goddamn
